Gone are the days of lonely homeschoolers sitting at their kitchen table. Now, we enjoy wonderful classes in our vast community. Whatever your child’s passion, there is a class to feed it. This list is always growing and changing. Enjoy the journey!
Homeschool 101 Classes are offered by CHEER – Colorado Home Educator’s Eclectic Resource.
Physical Education classes offered twice weekly as part of the YMCA youth sports programs in Longmont. This is a “land and water” class taught by a “licensed PE teacher”.
Master’s Hand is a private “homeschool enrichment program” which offers weekly classes in Longmont and Loveland. Individual classes are offered, and run the the whole school year.
Festival and the Arts Homeschool Program run by Sage Hamilton. “our program integrates the expressive and practical arts, celebrates seasonal festivals and honors spiritual diversity. Earth centered practical arts curriculum including gardening, medicine making and bee-keeping.”. 2 days/week program for children ages 7 -15. Call 303-938-8867 for information.
FACE: Located in Northglenn, Family Academy of Christian Education is a private umbrella school for homeschoolers that offers a full range of services, including weekly classes.
The Gifted Kids Network is a web based supplemental gifted and talented programming model that includes accelerated or advanced content and affective programming. Enrolled students from schools and districts throughout the United States are able to come together in a private secure online environment to engage in high level content with other gifted peers. Gifted Kids Network utilizes technologies such as wikis, blogs, social bookmarking, collaborative documents, podcasting and video or photo sharing to create a virtual gifted program that is collaborative, connected, and social. http://www.giftedkidsnetwork.com
